Lady is a beautiful black filly quarter horse born on May 17, 2006. We call her Lady because of her mannerisms and the way she carries herself is that of a proper lady. She is solid black with no markings.
2007: We have been working with her on ground training since July of 2007. She halters, leads, picks up hooves, etc. very well.
2008: We continued to work on her ground training. She gets along with all the horses in the herd and never comes in with battle wounds. When she goes into heat she is still very sweet. We gave her this full year to grow and be loved on by us. She is a super easy keeper.
2009: She has had formal natural horsemanship ground training and riding daily that began July 16. She has done great with everything asked of her.
She has never bucked anyone off of her and was very easy to begin under saddle and riding.
2010: We continued with some training and took her on trail rides and arena rides during the summer. She is so sweet. We have had several kids riding her too.
2011: After the winter off, we hired a trainer (Jamie) to work with her daily and get her ready to learn a new discipline - cattle sorting. She has done wonderful. Even my 13 year old daughter has sorted cattle on her with success. She is back to riding at least 5 times a week. We have taken her on trail rides where she does not spook and loves the trails! She has worked extensively in arenas and lunges in our round pen beautifully. She has learned to love grooming and baths in our wash stall and is fine with electric clippers/razor. She has been hauled all over in our trailer. She has been ridden bareback with no problems. She is loving all the attention and needs to find a permanent home! She is ready to be trained on whatever discipline you wish to train her on and she aims to please as long as she is treated with love and respect.
2012: She loves her boys. She hangs in the pasture with our two geldings. She is sweet with them. Even when she is in heat, her temperment is calm. She can hold her own when needed too but does best when she is not the head of the herd.
She had her first mishap right before Christmas and was stabbed with a t-bar fence and scratched her eye in in process. We had it cleaned and stitched by our equine and treated the eye too. This spring her eye was once again checked and it is perfect. This is the only doctoring Lady has EVER needed in five years! She is the easiest keeper.
Jamie is riding and working with her regularly. Lady is doing great. We are looking for a forever home for Lady. Because I can no longer ride her for health reasons, Jamie has been her only rider for awhile. She knows her so well, we have asked Jamie to meet with potential buyers. We are not motivated by money on this sale as much as we are looking for a forever home for Lady. She has had all of her core training and is ready to learn a specific discipline to share with her forever companion. We are looking for someone to love her as much as we do! You can contact Jamie at (937) 302-7440.
